Chris Slaughter has been with EGW Publishing, Inc. for 23 years. In the last 15 years, his work flow has included proof reading and assisting the editors, and in 2014, he joined the poetry group as coordinating editor. His love of reading began with fantasy and sci-fi novels as a child, as well as Shel Silverstein's books of childrens poetry. He enjoys sharing children's poetry with his nieces and nephews, which has strengthened their imaginations, as well as his own. Since then, his interests have grown to encompass a larger array of genres. He lives in California with his wife and two dogs. He is an associate member of the Academy of American Poets.
Andrew Shinkle graduated with a B.A. in Literature from the University of North Texas and, later, a M.Ed. focusing on Early Childhood Development from Texas State University. Over the last ten years, he has been sharing poetry and literature with students in elementary and middle school as an English and Art teacher. He is currently shocking 7th graders with Homer at the Athenian School in Danville, California where he lives with his wife and three poetry loving children. Kurt Vonnegut just reminded him that he reads so that he can meditate with a mind greater than his, and that being able to do that is a miracle.
Charles Edward Sandler graduated from St. Lawrence University with a B.A. in English Writing and Philosophy. His love of poetry started with Wallace Stevens, "The Snow Man" and he has been pondering the "Nothing that is not there and the nothing that is" ever since. He lives in Massachusetts with his wife and three children. He is an associate member of the Academy of American Poets
